Pressure Increases on Popular Twin Ports Band

Duluth, MN (03-08-2017) – The Kickstarter campaign deadline is coming quickly for Breanne Marie & the Front Porch Sinners, an authentic, pure country band based in the Twin Ports. The five-piece band is raising $7,500 to record 10 original country songs for its album “Wildflowers & Tumbleweeds,” which will be recorded at Sparta Sound, in Sparta, Minnesota, with Rich Mattson, a popular Iron Range music producer.

As of this release, the group has raised 36.65% of its goal through the generous community support of 52 backers, with 13 days left in the campaign. Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform that comes with a caveat; either raise enough money to reach your goal, or forfeit all funding. “We specifically chose Kickstarter because it’s all or nothing,” said Breanne Marie Tepler. “We only have 13 days to bring people together to rally over our project and make it happen. It’s nerve-racking, but very exciting!”

Breanne Marie Tepler, the group’s singer and guitarist, entered the Twin Ports music scene in 2010, and in 2013, the band was born. The group is a passion project; each member of the band has a full-time job and manages to squeeze in practices, performances, and related appearances into their free time – all for the sake of producing heart-felt country. The band is unique in many ways, one of them being that they have a pedal steel player, which is rare for a Twin Ports group. Also, the group is selected to play at the Homegrown Music Festival (April 30-May 7, 2017) for the fifth year in a row; not all bands are selected to play.

For the Kickstarter campaign, Breanne Marie & the Front Porch Sinners made every effort to seek low cost, donated services from local vendors, while still producing a quality product. The total budget for the project is $8,402 and the group is asking for local country music lovers and community members to assist with $7,500 of its budget. The budget includes $3,000 on recording/mixing at the Sparta Sound recording studio and production by Rich Mattson. The budget also includes $1,033 for full-color CDs in a durable case, $2,144 to create the 12” jacket for the vinyl, $850 for t-shirts from Screen Graphics and more.

The Kickstarter campaign ends on Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:05 p.m., and if the group reaches it’s goal, it plans to begin recording in early April and “Wildflowers & Tumbleweeds” would be released by late summer. It’s the group’s goal to use newly recorded music as a promotion to get booked at festivals in cities across the country. Also, the quality recordings can be used for music videos and a better online presence. For the latest information on the project, visit: http://kck.st/2mvFbwQ
